Plant a tree today,
grow a future for India.

We work with volunteers, schools and communities across Delhi NCR and North India to plant trees, protect green cover, and keep every sapling alive long after the drive is over.

Who we are

A small foundation with one very large idea

Delhi breathes some of the worst air in the world, and North India loses green cover faster than it replaces it. Ped Lagao India Foundation exists to close that gap in the most direct way possible — by putting saplings in the ground and making sure they survive.

We are registered as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013, and hold 12A and 80G registration under the Income Tax Act. Every rupee we receive is accounted for, and every donor receives a formal receipt.

  • Plantation drives in schools, colonies, parks and open public land
  • Aftercare — watering, tree guards and monitoring through the first summer
  • Awareness programmes that turn one-day events into long-term habits
  • A volunteer and membership network open to anyone who wants to help
What we do

Four ways we put roots in the ground

Our work is deliberately simple and repeatable, so that any group of volunteers anywhere in North India can run it.

Tree Plantation Drives

Native and fruit-bearing saplings planted in schools, residential colonies, roadsides and community land — with local volunteers doing the digging.

Green Clubs in Schools

Students adopt and name a sapling, then care for it through the year. A child who grows a tree rarely grows up to cut one down.

Community Awareness

Street-level campaigns on air quality, plastic reduction, water conservation and why a shaded street is a cooler street.

Sapling Distribution

Free saplings handed to families, farmers and shopkeepers, with simple written guidance on keeping them alive through the first summer.

एक पेड़ माँ के नाम

Donate a tree today. Let it outlive all of us.

₹500 puts one sapling in the ground, wraps it in a tree guard, and waters it through its first summer — the year in which most saplings die. That is the entire cost of a tree that will stand for decades.

Ways to give

Choose how many trees you want to stand behind

Every contribution is eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G, and a formal receipt is issued for each one.

Gift a Tree

Plant a tree in someone's name

Birthdays, anniversaries, a new baby, or in memory of someone you have lost — we will plant a tree in their name and send you a certificate with their name on it. A gift that keeps growing after every other gift is forgotten.

Our programmes

Work that keeps going after the photograph

A plantation drive is easy. A tree that is still alive three years later is the hard part — and that is what we measure ourselves on.

Ped Lagao Drives

Community plantation events run with local RWAs, panchayats and volunteer groups. We bring the saplings, tools and know-how; the neighbourhood brings the hands.

Har Bachcha, Ek Ped

Every child, one tree. School programmes where each student plants and cares for a sapling, backed by classroom sessions on air quality and green cover.

Green Village Initiative

Working with rural families in Haryana, UP and Punjab on fruit-tree plantation, kitchen gardens and soil health — green cover that also puts food within reach.

पेड़ लगाओ, ज़िंदगी बचाओ

One tree is a small thing. A million of them is a climate policy.

Plant with us, fund a sapling, or bring the Foundation to your school or colony. Whichever you choose, it starts with a message.
